Darien Homes for Sale, $900-$1.5 million Market Report

I’ve written all spring about how this Darien CT real estate market has bounced back -with a vengeance, as they say. This remains the case and houses which are perceived as good value are selling within a weekend. As a result, the town now finds itself in the unenviable postion of having a somewhat thin inventory in some price points.In total, there are  approximately 105 homes on the market in Darien.

There appears to be great demand in the $900-$1.5million range, which is usually the case. There are however, a plethora of buyers out there and not enough desireable properties to fill the demand.Although there are 33 homes on the market in this range,only a few fit the trifecta of good location,good condition and good,open interior spaces.If you’re in this price range,be prepared to comprimise something.

 Hopefully,the spring market will continue with many more listings coming on the market in this price point but, as the summer draws near, traditionally things slow up.We shall see.
